HOW TO RECOGNIZE A CERTIFIED
REINFORCING STEEL?

The certified factories affix the mark on the labels that are attached to their steels.
The certificate is valid for a factory.
It is granted for a product falling within the scope of one of the following standards:

NF A 35-014 (Reinforcing steel – Weldable stainless steels – Bars and coils)
NF A 35-017 (Reinforcing steel – Non-weldable ribbed bars and coils)
NF A 35-024 (Reinforcing steel – Surface welded fabric composed of wires of nominal diameter less than 5 mm)
NF A 35-025 (Reinforcing steel – Hot-dip galvanised reinforcing bars and coils)
NF A 35-030 (Steel products – High-bond ribbed steel bars for reinforced concrete poles, supports of aerial lines)
NF A 35-080-1 (Reinforcing steel – Weldable steels – Part 1: Bars and coils)
NF A 35-080-2 (Reinforcing steel – Weldable steels – Part 2: Welded fabric)
The certified steel bear a rolling mark, specific to the manufacturer, indicated in the NF-AFCAB certificate.
